V is for… Voyages & Volcanos

Exotic far of lands and voyages (and volcanoes) deserve a notebook dedicated to them. Yes, I am talking about using notebooks to record your travels and adventures. By using any notebook rather than a pre-designed travel notebook you can be much more flexible or it can cover a specific topic or aspect of your travels.

Here are a few examples  of how I have used an everyday notebook in relation to my travels in the last year:

  1. pre-holiday planning – I used a story supply notebook to do all my pre-holiday planning before leaving the country. I didn’t even take this notebook on holiday with me it wahttps://www.notesinabook.com/wp-admin/post-new.phps all sorted in advance. All I took was the final itinerary.
  2. Little Book of Packing Lists – this is my little book of checklists that I use for all my packing lists for every time I go on a trip regardless of whether I am simply travelling overnight or for the long haul. A Word checklist notebook can easily be used for this.
  3. The Itinerary – this notebook is the one that bridges the gap between planning and being on holiday. I start it before going on holiday and take it with me – adding to it and referring to it as I go. This year I used a cute papio press notebook for my Itinerary.
  4. The Journal – the notebook that records what I am doing while I am on holiday. Most travel notebooks only cover this step – so sometimes I use a dedicated “travel journal” for this purpose, particularly if going on a memorable trip.
  5. The All-in-One – for longer (and adventurous) trips sometimes you need a more in-depth notebook to cover all these points.

Do you use a notebook to plan your travels? Or do you use a dedicated travel journal? Share in the comments.

  1. I have so many notebooks lying around the house and almost all of them have been used at some point or the other. This is one of those parts of my life which is totally haphazard. I jot down notes on pieces of paper/or a notebook (if I can find one).
Thank you for visiting my blog.
