If you haven’t already heard – Pocket Notebooks has now been rebranded as Nero’s Notes. You can read more about this on their blog. They now stock more than pocket notebooks, so if pocket notebooks aren’t quite your thing you may wish to head over and check out their updated collection. I’m not sure if this also means that they will include other notebooks (not just pocket notebooks) in the subscription. I expect that this will be the case.
The theme of the February Box was anniversaries. The collection of notebooks in this box were fab!
Field Notes. Ten Year Anniversary Pack
This three pack includes three different field notes notebooks.
First up is a reproduction of Aaron Draplin’s first use of the name and logo in 2002. The original was a red-leather-textured hard cover with white print on the cover and spine, and blank body pages. The anniversary version is matte-foil-stamped in white on red Mohawk Carnival 90# cover stock with a “cordwain” texture, and features 32 blank Finch Opaque 60# body pages. with two staples and 1/4″-radius rounded corners.
Next up is the Aaron’s first hand made Field Notes (2005). They were hand-printed, hand-bound, and hand-numbered by Aaron himself in early 2005. The reprint has a French “Speckletone Kraft” 100# cover, and 32 pages of old-school graph paper printed on 60# Finch Opaque, with two staples and 1/4″-rounded corners.
The third and final notebook is a reproduction of Field Notes Brand’s first test run (2007). The specs are : 80# French Packing Brown Wrap covers, 60# Finch body with a light gray graph and the logo atop each page. Again, they’re one staple short, and the corners are not-quite-round-enough.

Papio Press Notebooks
Next up are the Papio Press Notebooks. I personally love the cover designs / illustrations on Papio Press Notebooks and have bough a few fox-themed notebooks for EDC over the past year. In the subscription box I got the French Bulldog pack of two.

Dapper Notes: Mornings in…
This is a beautiful one-off cover and limited edition of 200 from Dapper Notes. The run includes Mornings. In Paris, London, New York.
The cover is city mornings on the outside (as this is a pattern; no two covers are alike) the cover is backed by book cloth inside(fall sunshine), with a leaf-infused lace endsheet.
