Nero’s Notes Desk Subscription – April 2018

IMG 4579

Last week I received my first “Desk” subscription from Nero’s Notes (you can read more about the subscription options in my last blog post). The idea behind the desk subscription is that instead of two sets of pocket notebooks you will get a larger A5 notebook and some extra goodies. We will get a single A5 notebook each quarter. This month the box contained:

  • Copper Notebook by Leuchtturm1917
  • Black Diamond Memo Book by Midori
  • Brass Book Darts
  • Red Mitsubishi Uniball Micro Deluxe
  • Palomino Blackwing Centenary Edition.

I also got a nice thank you note from Stu.

Although I like the Leuchtturm 1917 paper, I have to be honest I was slightly disappointed when this turned up in the subscription box – in part because it wasn’t too long ago that I got the Leuchtturm Jottbook in Copper and A6 version in gold. These were sent to me in the November Pocket Notebook Subscription.  However, it is a decent notebook and beautiful paper so it will definitely be used.

Copper Notebook by Leuchtturm1917 (a5)

These metallic A5 notebook  come in squared, dotted, lined and plain. A cover material that has been specially developed for this series gives the notebooks an elegant, metallic shine in Gold, Silver or Copper. I got the Copper one.

Midori Diamond Memo Book in Black

Midori

These are very cute and tiny flip notebooks. They are simple, versatile, and well-made. They are filled with high-quality Midori paper. Their rounded corners help prevent the pages from catching when you slip them into a pocket or bag, and their flexible plastic covers protect your notes from wear and light splashes of water. The pages of this notebook are printed on both sides with pale green lines. They are double-spiral bound.

You can grab them at the Journal Shop for £2.50 if you want your own.
