This month the Nero’s Notes desk subscription included lined journal from ESMIE (Elegant Stationery Made in England). It has a mint bamboo and blossom cover, a more discrete floral pattern than perhaps I would usually go for personally (which is one of the great things about the subscription boxes) but I love the colour palette.
ESMIE was founded in 2009, inspired by a fascination for Japanese design, printing techniques and traditional bookbinding. They work along-side family run silk-screen studios in Kyoto Japan to produce the covering papers and the journals are handmade in England.
