Stanford’s is one of London’s best-known specialist shops and has been an essential first port of call for adventure and armchair travellers alike since it was founded in 1853 by Edward Stanford. I love shopping in Stanfords (in Bristol) for travel books and stationery items.

Unfortunately, they are in grave danger of 2020 being the final year of their 167-year history. They need to raise £120,000 to survive until spring 2021 when they hope that their customers will be able to start travelling again.
