Dapper Notes – Hamsa Edition

This is my 18th Dapper Notes Pocket Notebook. Dapper Notes Notebooks are individually handmade by Enon Avital. “Hamsa” (#31) (pictured above) is the most recent edition of the Dapper Notes Pocket Notebook. The word hamsa means “five” in Arabic. In North African cultures it is also associated with good luck and protection.

To celebrate five years of Dapper Notes, they revisited the most popular cover material of all time. Their first notebooks released in 2016 were made using a simple but beautiful cork cover. The new Hamsa edition also has a cork cover, but with a sparkly bronze foil imprint.

This limited edition has a cork cover with a snakeskin bronze foil imprint on the outside, a silver book cloth inside and a gold and silver fern pattern screen-printed endsheet. There is also a second informational endsheet with a brief history of dapper notes.

Bookhead Club

As the notebooks are limited edition they sell out pretty quickly – if you want to get your own I would recommend that you join the bookhead club. This is an annual subscription – and you get 6 notebooks during the course of the year. Find out more directly on their website.

If you are in Europe or the UK you can also get the subscription via Nero’s Notes (where I get mine from).
